The UFC will hold an event on May 15, and the first matchup scheduled features flyweights Priscila Cachoeira and Gina Mazany, multiple people with knowledge of the situation told MMA Fighting.
The UFC has yet to announce the card, the event’s location and broadcasting plans.
Cachoeira (9-3) returns to action seven months after missing weight for a cancelled fight with Cortney Casey this past October. “Pedrita,” who recently switched teams to join UFC champion Deiveson Figueiredo’s gym in Belem, Brazil, stopped Shana Dobson in just 40 seconds in her most recent appearance.
Mazany (7-4) finished Rachael Ostovich via third-round TKO this past November to score her first victory as a flyweight, bouncing back from a bantamweight defeat to Julia Avila in June 2020.
“Danger” went 1-3 as a 135-pounder in her first UFC stint between 2017 and 2019 with a sole victory over Yanan Wu, and earned her way back to the promotion with a first-round win over Valerie Barney at King of the Cage.
