A flyweight matchup between prospect Valerie Loureda and Hannah Guy has been moved from Bellator 258 to Bellator 259.
The news was confirmed to MMA Fighting by a Bellator official after an initial report from MMA reporter James Lynch. The reason for the rescheduling was not disclosed. Bellator 259 takes place May 21 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., and is headlined by a featherweight title fight between champ Cris Cyborg and Leslie Smith.
Loureda, 22, most recently appeared in the Bellator cage this past August, when she stopped Tara Graff in a performance that made highlight reels for the finish and her post-win celebration. It was Loureda’s third win as a pro since signing with the ViacomCBS-owned promotion since she turned from taekwondo to the cage.
Guy, 25, is making her Bellator debut at Bellator 259. She is 2-1 on the regional scene with a rear-naked choke submission win marking her most recent appearance in the cage.
